You have a screenshot that needs a headline, a photo with something distracting in the corner, and a Photoshop file somebody sent you. None of these sounds like a big job. You just need an editor that will let you get on with it.

Today we're introducing Photon Studio, our free desktop image editor for macOS and Windows 11.

Photon brings together photo editing and design work: layers and masks, text and shapes, retouching, color adjustments, and PSD files. The editing happens on your computer. You can open a file and work without an account, and your image doesn't need to make a round trip to a server.

You can download it for Windows and macOS.

Kuindzhi, 93 is an atmospheric first-person narrative vignette about an 18-year-old boy from Donbas. The story takes us to March 2022, when the world changed forever — into a space where the past, fears, and doubts find their voice.

Unfortunately, most people just can't help but steal if the opportunity presents itself. I used to work at a gift-wrapping company. Most of the staff would quietly snack on the candies there—even though, naturally, it was strictly forbidden—simply because no one was watching.

Anyway, there was this one woman who ate those candies like a total maniac. She actually developed an allergic reaction and was itching all over, yet she kept stuffing her face with them. She claimed she just couldn't bring herself to stop—simply because they were free.

I recently had dinner with 2 «girls» and one of them looked at me with undisguised condemnation. I asked her a question- what's the matter? She replied: you can go fishing, change cars, fly anywhere and whenever you want, drink wine and beer, go to cafes and restaurants, you have no problems… it annoys me, a man shouldn't be like that....free and happy only for yourself, a man's job is to make a woman and family happy, it's disgusting to look at you.
